My God this last week has been difficult for me, I've been working all day, every day on these narrative documents but it's finally over. The worst thing was that I forgot that I still had some reports to do, so I had to be done with the work at least a day before the deadline so that I'd have time to write the reports, and I somehow managed with some time spare.
First, and the main thing I focused on this week was writing the biographies, which was a slog, especially the one for the main character. I did get some feedback from my lecturer on the one I sent her and she said I was doing it correctly apparently so that's good to hear. I did some research into character biographies and I discovered that the League of Legends champion biographies are a damn masterpiece, and I don't get how I've never noticed that before since I love the game. Coming back on track I read some of them and made some notes and realised that most of them follow a similar sort of structure, and then I tried to, to an extent do something similar with my character biographies, the main change I made to Ryven's bio is that I completely re-wrote the first paragraph and I did it better (hopefully), I didn't have time to re-write the whole thing but reading the League bios helped me know what sort of things to write about in my main character's bio.
Lyra's (primary female character) biography was next on my list and her bio flowed so much better for me, I don't know why, maybe reading the League bios helped me but whatever it was her biography went significantly quicker than Ryven's, even if you account for her bio being shorter. Honestly, after I finished Lyra's biography I liked her more as a character than the main protagonist, Ryven, not sure if that's weird but yeah.
Finally, After I finished those ^^ I could finally move over to writing a biography/history for the world the story happens in, and this was probably the hardest of all of the narrative documents to start, but once I started it, mercifully, flowed fairly well. Not sure how good the world bio/history is but I don't think it's too bad.
Lastly, after I finished all the creative writing I started on the reports for this project, they weren't too bad, just boring, especially compared to the things I've spent the last two weeks writing. But I managed to get them done within a reasonable amount of time. This project is finally done though, so now I can rest for the rest of the day and then I need to work on my FYP.
