Part 3 - Post-christmas update

Yeah, so I just realised that this is not going to have weekly updates. The Christmas period was spent doing other pieces of coursework but now that those are mostly done so I've got some time where I can start working on this project and try to get a decent start before the alpha demo at the end of this month.
